Even Non-Racing Fans Love "Senna", The Documentary Film

Those who have been avid followers of Formula 1 are sure to know Ayrton Senna, considered one of the most charismatic drivers of this great sport. It was on 1 May 1994 that Senna died at the San Marino Grand Prix race that was held at Imola, Italy. Now, after 16 years, a documentary film has been made about his life. Experts as well as commoners hail this documentary as one of the greatest racing films ever produced. A few people opine that this documentary film is able to reach a wider audience than expected because it resembles the ancient Greek dramas.

The film has been entitled as "Senna" and its Director, Asif Kapadia, has cleverly used whatever archive footage that is available about this charismatic F1 driver. Of course, a few voice overs of journalists and Senna's family members have been used also. The Director has succeeded in making it into a visually poignant film for which he has used Senna's original footage from a few television interviews and racing images. Even many of Senna fans are surprised that the documentary film is able to reach even non-racing fans who are watching it with a great interest.

Perhaps, the fact that Senna lived for his beliefs and values may be the reason for the reach of this film. He was charismatic, very handsome and highly soft-spoken and these may also be the reasons for the popularity of the film. But, unfortunately, the very values and beliefs for which he lived his life, killed him.

A day before Senna's fateful accident and death during the race, Roland Ratzenberger, one of his fellow-drivers, met with an accident and died. Though Dr. Sid Watkins, the F1 doctor and also Senna's friend, suggested to him that he should also quit racing, Senna brushed the suggestion aside. It is true that he was in a state of shock due to the death of his fellow-driver. But, he preferred to go ahead and die for his love for racing and for the values he had been holding close to his heart.

A few connoisseurs of the film observe that the dramatic impact created by the documentary is due to the fierce competition and battle that was there between Senna and his contemporary F1 driver, Alain Prost. This French driver was also considered a titan of F1 racing during the same period. In fact, Prost became Senna's teammate at McLaren. They won all the races except only one during the season of 1988. The dramatic nature of the film was because the battle of supremacy between these two giants became quite vicious and they were engaged in a constant verbal duel even off the tracks also.

Close followers of F1 observed that Prost, nicknamed "The Professor," adopted a cerebral approach in his racing strategies. He adopted such an approach in his life also. On the other hand, Senna was more spiritual. He lived his life on instincts and believed his gut-feelings. The film unfortunately portrays Senna as a personification of all good virtues and Prost as a morally inferior person. But, the fact remains that the Director has succeeded in dramatizing the conflict between these two giants of F1 racing. Like all classic tragedies, this tragedy also touches the hearts of the millions of viewers of this documentary film.

An Overview On How To Build A Kart

Many children want to know how to build a kart. Anyone can build one with just a few simple steps, one can be built in as little as one day.The materials are some wood, it does not really matter what type of wood as long as it is thick enough to support your weight. Most types can be rescued from the garage or shed.

You will need four wheels, from an old baby buggy or a couple of broken bikes so long as they are not too large and they have center holes. Two metal spindles that will pass through the center of the wheels freely and some nails, bolts, drill, hammer and a saw.

The length of the kart does not really matter but you need to be able to reach the front axle with your feet if steering that way. Once you have all your materials and tools you can get started.First step is to make your seating area, about twenty inches square for comfort. If using plywood sheet just cut this out with the saw.

Once you have your seating area, you could then add a longer section that goes from the back seat to where the front wheels will eventually be. This should be about six inches wide and between four and five feet long depending on your preference.

Now you can fix a four inch wide piece of timber beneath the width of the seating area to hold the spindle for the back wheels, this can be held in place with nails bent over or U shaped staple type nails, once this spindle is in place you can then put your wheels onto the spindle, remember your spindle must stick out from the seat by a couple of inches to allow for the wheels and movement.

You can secure the wheels in place with a spring type washer or can drill a hole in each end of the spindle so once the wheel is pushed on, a nail can be inserted into the hole to keep the wheel from coming off.The last step is to put a cross piece in that swivels at the front end so you can steer it.

Just use the same size board as the back that took your spindle for the back wheels but use a bolt so this section moves left and right freely, again fix your spindle to take the front wheels as you did with the back ones, now you may use your feet to steer or tie rope to each side of the front section and pull to turn left or right.

Learning how to build a kart may be the start of bigger and better ones, you may add a padded section of covered foam from an old chair for extra comfort or build the sides up so you don't fall off, but the main thing is to enjoy your ride. Always be careful on steep hills as these have no breaks and can be dangerous.

Danica To Dazzle

Danica Patrick is well on her way to making a name for herself in NASCAR. She entered the NASCAR Nationwide Series last year by running a part-time schedule with JR Motorsports. As a newcomer to the Nationwide Series she hasn't exactly set the world on fire but she does hold her own and is showing definite signs of improvement. Some say she is doing it the "right way" by continuing to run a part-time schedule in the Nationwide Series this year. Granted she can't dedicate herself full-time to NASCAR as she is still running her regular IndyCar Series schedule. Perhaps this is a good way to start out trying a new venture but at some point if she wants to make the leap to the Sprint Cup Series she is probably going to have to commit herself full-time to stock car racing.

Patrick seems to draw the fans but reviews have been mixed. Some say that she uses her gender too much. One report alluded to her temper being a result of "her time of the month". Last year Kyle Petty made a comment along the lines of "if she sells a few t-shirts and hats she should consider it a successful season". A bit condescending but a large part of NASCAR is the driver's popularity with the fans. If she can draw the fans, then NASCAR makes money and everyone is happy. It is a business after all. Dale Earnhardt Jr is a prime example of this. He has won races but let's face it, he does not have the most stellar driving record when compared to other drivers. A lot of his popularity is derived from the Earnhardt name which is still selling tickets today. That being said, perhaps Danica's popularity comes in part from her gender. However on the flip side she was paid a compliment by current Sprint Cup Series owner and driver Tony Stewart who stated he believes she has the talent to make it in NASCAR.

Patrick's bourgeoning NASCAR career is fueling the feminist movement in many ways. She is going against female stereotypes and is a role model for women everywhere. She is breaking into a sport that has long been known as a "boys club" and is becoming successful doing it. She strikes a balance between contending with the male drivers and being comfortable enough to show her feminine side without worrying that she won't be taken seriously in the garage.

Patrick brings a breath of fresh air to the female gender. She is showing women they have choices and can have successful careers in male dominated fields while not becoming one of the boys. Perhaps by watching her career continue to grow, more women will follow their dreams to break into non-traditional female roles.

F1 Team Orders: Are They Back or Even Still Around?

Go back to Austria in 2001, final lap of the race as Jean Tadt tells Rubens Barrichello to let Schumacher pass. Barrichello was instructed by Ferrari to cede 2nd position to Schumacher to gain points to defend the driver's title. Barrichello did not comply until the last corner of the last lap, stirring up many emotions after the race. A similar situation happened at the next year's race resulting in a huge fine for the Ferrari team in addition to the FIA banning "team orders" period. 10 years have gone by and most outspoken persons against team orders, Red Bull Team Principal, Christian Horner, has done a reversal on the matter. In an interview with Speed TV in 2010 Horner said, "You can't manipulate the outcome of a race by introducing team orders and there does need to be a clarification on it. And rightly or wrongly Red Bull have allowed our driver's to race." However during the British Grand Prix in 2011, none other than Red Bull asked Mark Weber, who was making a move on championship leading driver, Sebastian Vettel, to maintain the gap with Vettel and not attempt a point losing pass.

So it seems team orders are back. And yes, they are allowed this season. Mark Weber did note that team orders have always been a part of how Red Bull strategize their movements. Nico Rosberg stated after the German Grand Prix. "In the end we are an employee of the team. So the team has the priority, that's the way it is in racing. We musn't forget that. We are paid by the team to represent the team and to do well for the team. That pretty much summarizes it up doesn't it. But of course we drivers', the ego side of us always comes out and we want to race; we want to win races, but that's always a compromise and you have to find out for yourself on how best to handle it."

Horner backed his statements by saying he did not want a repeat of Turkey in the 2010 season, when Weber and Vettel eliminated each other out of the race. He also noted that with three laps remaining he wanted the team to bank the points. As a competitive driver, the team mentality has to be a difficult mental block. These drivers are born competitors at heart and team orders or not, all desire to win and deserve to win if they are in the position. In the mortal words of the late, great, Ayrton Senna: "By being a race driver, means you are racing with other people, and if you no longer go for a gap that exists, you are no longer a racing driver, because we are competing, we are competing to win, and the main motivation to all of us is to compete for victory, not to come second, third, fourth... I race to win, as long as I feel it is possible." Indeed.

Furious NASCAR Fervor

Those who are not diehard fans of NASCAR may not understand why watching super fast cars going around in circles bring so much joy to the stock car enthusiast. Well, planning is a huge reason. This preparation adds tremendously to the thrill of auto racing, and based on this aspect, there would seemingly be great anticipation on who's going to win.

There are a few important factors that go into planning: The crew has to collaborate to determine how they are going to handle the inevitable problems that will arise in the most expeditious matter. Additionally, teammates need to agree on who has the best chance for one of them to win or place as high as he or she can, with the minimal amount of sacrifice of the other teammates. Moreover, each driver has to come up with a realistic strategy to win or place as high as he or she can, while taking in consideration of weather and track conditions.

These factors have been fundamental to the success of NASCAR since its inception. Over 60 years ago fans started to take an interest in the planning of stock car races. Consequently, in 1947 more and more potential drivers began to pursue entering the races. During that year, however, there were problems synchronizing the rules between venues.

At the beginning of 2010 some thought that NASCAR popularity would suffer because of the recession. During 2009, TV ratings went down, and had been going down since 2005. Farmers Insurance to sponsor Kasey Kahne beginning in 2012

CONCORD, N.C. - Beginning in 2012, Farmers Insurance will be the
majority sponsor of the No. 5 Chevrolets fielded by Hendrick Motorsports and driven by 11-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race winner Kasey Kahne.

Covering the 2012, 2013 and 2014 racing seasons, the agreement
secures primary paint schemes for Farmers Insurance in 22 Sprint Cup
Series events annually and prominent brand placement in all non-
primary races. A new No. 5 Farmers Insurance Chevrolet car design will
be unveiled at a later date.

"Kasey Kahne is a very talented driver and a class act," said Paul Patsis, president of Enterprise Marketing for Farmers Insurance. "He will represent Farmers well, and we are all so proud to have him driving what will be a successful partnership, both on and off the racetrack."

In April, Los Angeles-based Farmers Insurance joined Hendrick
Motorsports as a five-race primary sponsor of the No. 5 Chevrolets for
2011, debuting with a special paint scheme at the May 21 NASCAR Sprint
All-Star Race. Farmers Insurance also is an associate-level sponsor of
the No. 5 team this season.

"It's extremely positive when a company of this caliber sees the value of NASCAR and immediately wants to do more," said Rick Hendrick, owner of Hendrick Motorsports. The 2011 Formula One Guide - The Exhaust Blow Diffuser Technical Explanation

The objective of having air passing through the diffuser at the back, under side of a formula one car is to create more down force. This down force is created by the air under the car sucking the car down onto the surface of the circuit. It is actually a ground effect process. If the air is accelerated at the back, more air is sucked underneath the car causing a faster flowing, lower pressure, air stream creating more suction and therefore more down force. The diffuser is a series of expanding channels creating a venturi effect which accelerates the air through it.

With the banning of the double diffusers this year, Page 138 in The 2011 Formula One Guide, the constructors have been looking for ways to increase the effect of the single diffuser that they have at their disposal. One way of doing this has been to increase the airflow with the exhaust emissions. The problem with this is when the driver lifts his foot off of the throttle for a turn, the exhaust gasses are reduced just when he requires the down force most. A way to overcome this problem is to leave the throttle open, with or without burning fuel, so as to keep the air flowing through the engine and therefore the diffuser. The burning of fuel or not, while the throttle that the driver is not using is open, leads to two different approaches to the problem. If no fuel is being burnt then this is called cold blowing of the diffuser. If fuel is being burnt then it is hot blowing of the diffuser.

Obviously the hot blown diffuser is more efficient as the hot air is at an even lower density and that creates even lower pressure. What some teams were doing is to retard the ignition timing by around 35 degrees so that combustion was taking place while the exhaust valves of the engine were open creating a hotter airflow from the exhausts. This caused a higher than normal fuel consumption during a race. Lotus R are reported to have used around 10% more fuel per race than they did last year. The FIA were not happy with this extreme use of engines to aid aerodynamics so they issued a directive stating that the throttle opening would be no more than 10% when the driver was not using the throttle for acceleration. The implementation of the directive should have taken place at the Catalunya circuit in Spain. Teams argued reliability and expense to implement these changes and the directive was delayed to Silverstone. On Friday at Silverstone there was so much confusion as to what was to be implemented that nobody understood why the 10% had become 50% or that fired, fuelled, overrun was permitted.

So why all the confusion? Here we have to step back and take a look at what happens to a formula one car when a driver brakes. The car has three braking effects on it. One is the application of the brakes themselves, two is the KERS charging the batteries through the motor generator unit and three is the engine slowing down if it is not being given fuel and ignition. The engine still keeps pumping the pistons up and down even if the throttle is closed. If the throttle is closed no air is being drawn into the cylinder on the induction stroke and this causes massive stresses in the engine where air is sucked passed the piston from the sump. As the driver is also changing down gears the engine is doing maximum revolutions, called overrun, further exacerbating the stresses. To alleviate these stresses the engine manufacturers either leave the throttle open and/or fuel the engine creating combustion. Another consideration is that the car becomes very rear end unstable if the engine is fully braking on the overrun. As the drivers need cornering stability this is most undesirable. The open throttle and/or fuel burning leaves the car stable and the engine under very little stress. So long before the advent of exhaust blown diffusers the constructors were leaving open throttles and burning a modicum of fuel when the drivers were off the throttle. This practice was taking place in 2009 and the throttle open position was more than the FIA mandated 10% when the driver was not using the throttle. This the FIA could check with the mapping records they held as all the teams use a common ECU specified by the FIA.

So the 10% became 50% and fired overrun permitted depending on the constructors and engine manufacturers previous practice. This is the Friday night ruling by the FIA which may change during the race weekend.

NASCAR 2013 Car Choices

The Ford Mustang was originally going to be Fords choice for their stock car for the upcoming 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup Season. But then they decided on the Ford Fusion. Ford Fusion over the Mustang. That's gotta be one of the dumbest ideas from the Ford camp in a long time. This is a time in NASCAR where the sport is FINALLY letting the Manufacturers have their say on the cars and what they look like, giving strong connections to their street cars, and they decide that sticking to the Fusion is a good idea. I'm sorry, I'm excited about NASCAR having stock car look a likes in the Cup series, but Ford is really dropping the ball on this one big time. A lot of people who otherwise wouldn't or don't care about NASCAR would watch at least one race to see the new cool looking Mustang race in the top series of Motorsport in America.

So the fact that Ford threw away the Mustang really makes no sense whatsoever to me personally. But it gets even better. Not only is Ford not doing anything cool with their new car, but neither are Toyota or Chevy! Toyota will race the Camry still, and Chevy is rumored to use the Malibu or something like that. Really? Who cares if the Toyota looks like a Toyota on the street? That's nothing to really get excited about! And the Chevy Malibu? Same story there, from GM's page. The only real hope from any of them is Dodge, and as I hear they are trying to stick to the Charger. That's definitely not a bad choice, as the Charger is actually a cool looking car. Frankly Dodge doesn't have many "lame" cars like Ford and the others, so they should be the single ray of bright light when it comes to the 2013 cars. In a small way I may kind of support Fords moving from the Mustang to the Fusion, and that's only if by running the Mustang they would be in trouble aerodynamic wise because the other cars, with their differences, would race better. To see the actual look of the cars make a difference in performance, even if only slightly, would be cool to me.

But the whole point of having these cars look like true stock cars again was to not only go back to the 80s more or less, but to have people excited about the cars again! Folks were excited about the new Nationwide Cars, even though they were mostly kind of ugly, minus the Challenger. People were excited to see the Mustang racing in NASCAR head to head with the Challenger. The Toyota and Impala were lame, but still that didn't change that people would tune in just to see these cars racing. Even I tune in to the Nationwide races hoping to see the Challengers running up front, because I really enjoy the look of those cars and seeing them race. The Mustang and the others not so much, but it's still cool to see the differences between the vehicals and how exciting it is. NASCAR will undoubtely do a good job with the new cars, and they will be truly stock appearing if all goes to plan. But the Manufacturers are really dropping the ball here, minus Dodge, to have cool looking cars back on track again. If they are going to look different and really stand out from one another, why not have them look like Mustangs and Camaros? That will never happen apparently.

NASCAR Mustang

In 2010 NASCAR started racing cars in the Nationwide series that really made improvements on looking apart from one another. NASCAR for the longest time suffered from all their cars looking the same, minus some minor details on the hood and back window area. The fans were really sick of this being the case, and always blasted NASCAR on how the cars weren't stock in any way besides the stickers. Which in a sport based on stock car auto racing, that's a big deal. So NASCAR decided they were going to do two things in one swoop: bring more brand identity to the cars, and give the NASCAR Nationwide series its own identity. It worked, and the fans really loved the differences in the cars. Well most of the fans anyways.

The cars, Dodge Challenger, Ford Mustang, Chevy Impala, and Totota Camry, are all different in the nose area of the car. You certainly won't confuse what's what anymore. But that's only from the front of the car. The sides, doors, and rears of the cars are all the exact same for the most part. Only the Impala has indication of difference besides in the nose. But even with that being the case, the difference in the cars and the excitement of the fans about it made NASCAR realize that they couldn't have the same cookie cutter car in the Cup series anymore. And that's where the Mustang comes in. Ford loved the Mustang in the Nationwide series, as did the others. The Manufacturers were excited to see actual difference in the cars again, like the early 90s and backwards. Ford, when hearing about NASCAR wanting new cars in 2013 for the Cup series, submitted interest in racing the Mustang. They only had one request, and that's that the race car look failrly similar overall to the street version of the car. Well some time would pass, but eventually it was found out that indeed Ford would race Mustang in the Cup series starting in 2013.

Car owner Jack Roush recently went on record to say that the new car would be coming out of the body shop "soon" and that fans could then get a look at it. It's certainly exciting, and a bit nervous. When I found out about the new cars, Mustang included, coming to NASCAR's Nationwide series I was excited. And the Challenger did really impress what I wanted in a NASCAR stock car, but the rest really weren't worth much. The Mustang, in my opinion, is the worst of all. Although the though of a NASCAR Mustang is great, the actual look of the car is pretty dissappointing. So the fact that Ford only would do the car in the Cup series if it could look like the street car has me excited that it will be done more correctly this time around.

NASCAR should have never left the time when the race cars looked just like stock cars. There should have always been a distinct difference between the makes. NASCAR stood against that for the last several years, but they did indeed prove you can have a good looking car that's not a major game changer (Challenger). So I'm cautiously optimistic that the soon to be unveiled NASCAR Sprint Cup Mustang will look great while still being an even car with the others. NASCAR Road Courses

NASCAR has the most variety of any major sport in the United States. Although most of the tracks are circle like tracks, there are major differences in the tracks. Tracks like Texas Motor Speedway and Atlanta, for example, are both mile and a half race tracks, but the look and drive of these tracks are far different from one another. The lines the drivers run are totally different too, with Atlanta having a great high line and Texas having a better low line. Add to that the short tracks and superspeedways, and you have a wonderful amount of difference between any one track and the other.

But when it comes to the major differences in NASCAR you can't get more out there than the road course tracks, Infineon and Watkins Glen. These two tracks are so entirely different from one another and the other tracks on the Sprint Cup schedule that it's literally like a different sport entirely. The only real similarities are the drivers and the cars being the same cars. Even then it's not all that similar, with road course ringers, drivers who specialize in racing on road course tracks, coming in and helping some of the normal teams that aren't that good at road tracks. The racing on road courses can be as exciting and so much more than the normal tracks that NASCAR races on. I believe it's a fact that NASCAR had it's most leaders and lead changes in a single race in 2011, this year. That was Talladega, and it was a fairly fun race to watch. But the recent Road America Nationwide race was so much superior in the fun to watch category, that it didn't even matter if not that many different drivers lead a lap. The race was exciting, with at least 3 or 4 guys battling for the lead throughout, and the action at the end of the race as things got desperate kept me on the end of my seat going "Wow, I wonder what's going to happen next!". It was a thrill, it's not often that a race has me really on the edge of my seat. Now don't get me wrong, there are a lot of different races that have been awesome this year, and even the Sprint Cup race at Infineon was really boring, so road courses aren't always perfect. But those tracks can be run differently with the differences in the tracks, particularly with the fact that you can have course specific cautions, not always having to have entire full course cautions.

That's a nice change from the normal, for it is a rarity when a full course caution comes out that isn't for a major wreck as opposed to a single car spin or somethingl like that. The boys really let it out when they race at a road course, and that's plain exciting to me! I love the variety in the tracks, the way it's not at all like the other races. In the NFL you always have 100 yards of field, with two scoring zones. In the NBA you always have a square court with goals at either end of the court. In the MLB you always hit a ball and run in a basic diamond shape. That's it. Even with the difference in field type or look, it's always the same every time. But NASCAR's not even close to being like that. Granted, most of the tracks are run in left turns. But the track differences and variety of track makes, so to speak, sets NASCAR up far above the other sports when it comes to variety. It's always a joy to see the road courses show up so you can tell all the idiots who say NASCAR only races in circles what's for. And the racing aint bad either.

After three street type circuits we are back to a race track. A circuit steeped in history which has had Formula One (A) racing here since 1948 and was the setting for the first Championship Race in 1950. The 1950 race was won by Giuseppe Farina in an Alfa Romeo with Pirelli tyres. This is the second fastest race track in terms of average speed, only Monza is faster. Here the average speed of the fastest lap last year was 233.37km/h set by Fernando Alonso (Ferrari) and the speed through the speed trap is 300km/h.

New pit accommodation has been built along with a new pit lane which is now situated between the old turns 10 and 11. The start/finish line is now there, so old turn 11 now becomes new turn 1. All the turn numbers follow on from there. The original names for the turns are still the same, only the numbers are changed. As the drivers and constructors use turn numbers amongst themselves they will not be confused. As the commentators use both names and numbers the viewing public may end up very confused. The 2011 Formula One Guide has issued a circuit diagram with the new turn numbers and the names, and this is in the latest issue of the book.

Aerodynamics will play a large part of this weekend's race. High down force to maximise speed through the fast corners is a must. This circuit favours Red Bull who have done well here in the last two races. Last year Sebastian Vettel qualified on pole position with Mark Webber second. Sebastian went off on the then first corner (now turn 10) and had a puncture which put him at the back of the pack. He still finished 7th. Mark Webber went on to win the race. In 2009 the Red Bulls were 1st and 2nd, Sebastian/Mark, with Rubens Barrichello (Braun) 3rd, 41.1 seconds off the lead. Will the off throttle exhaust blown diffuser ban affect the Red Bulls? Doubtful but let us see.

Weather may also play a part in the race as it has done in the past. The long range forecast is for temperatures with a high of 18oC for all three days and the chances of precipitation of 60% Friday, 30% Saturday and 10% on Sunday. Look what happened in Canada where the long range forecast was for no rain on race day!! The low ambient temperatures will also affect the tyres, it all depends on the track temperatures.

The tyres selected for this race weekend are the hard compound for the prime tyre and the soft compound for the option. The prime tyre is silver marked and the option tyre is yellow. This selection of tyres is to suit this circuit which is rough and is hard on tyres. There are some newly surfaced parts of the track and no one knows how these will behave. The hard tyres will not favour Ferrari who have struggled for performance on them even though this combination has been the most commonly used. At the last race on a non street like circuit, Spain, Fernando Alonso came 5th and was lapped. Five of the eight races run this year have been on the Pirelli hard and soft compound tyres. On the two Friday free practice sessions each driver will also be issued two sets of medium compound tyres, marked white, for evaluation and comparison on this well known circuit.

Jaime Alguersuari and Sebastien Buemi, drivers for Toro Rosso, can breathe more easily. There were a lot of rumours that Daniel Ricciardo a reserve and test driver for Toro Rosso would replace one of them before the season ends. This is not to happen. In a cooperative deal between Red Bull and HRT, Daniel Ricciardo, who turns 22 on Friday, is to replace Narain Karthikeyan for the remainder of the season. Narain will probably drive in the inaugural India Grand Prix as he is the only Indian national driving in formula one. Red Bull is paying HRT for Daniel to get the driving experience at this highest level of racing. Musical seats?

Eight out of the twelve constructors have their home base in England so for them this is their home grand prix. Expect a lot of updates on the cars this weekend.

Enthusiastic spectators crowd into the grandstands and they are very knowledgeable. The off track entertainment is massive with Red Devils Parachute Display Team, The Red Arrows flying display, live music entertainment each evening and the Sunday after race Grand Prix party. It is a festival as well as a race weekend.
